Field Notes

Description:

This rather large caterpillar was already dead when I found it, killed by the wasp's larvae before they turned into the white cocoons that cling to the caterpillar's body.

Habitat:

At the edge of a forest on the island of Korçula, Croatia.

Notes:

I guess the caterpillar is a Saturnid, and the parasitic wasps Braconids.
Any further specification would be appreciated.
