Description:

I am pretty positive that this is a yellow warbler. According to allaboutbirds.org they migrate through my area and it fits the description. Small yellow bird with thin pointed bill. I think this may be a female because of the grey on her wings and backside. Unfortunately she is not alive :( It is the result of having a carnivorous feline as a companion that is allowed to explore his outside world.

Habitat:

Wooded areas of North America.

Notes:

Typically I do not take pictures of Indiana’s kills but it was unusual to see such a bright yellow bird and I wanted to reference the picture to try and find out what it is.

I think you are right about the ID as a warbler..do not know which species. so sad it did not survive...hope it gets a proper burial.
