Description:

This baby black racer was nearly the victim of a terrible pitchfork accident as we turned to soil in a large patch of garden for spring planting. I pulled him from between the tines of the pitchfork, had a coworker snap a few photos and then relocated this cutie to a nearby hedge. I was thankful it was a cool morning and that this baby was very mellow.
