Description:

This rare orchid is red-listed in BC due to loss of habitat.
It is a myco-heterotroph. It parasites fungi that are in mycorrhizal relationships with vascular plants.

Habitat:

Pacific temperate rain forest of fir, hemlock, maple, alder & birch. Undergrowth of Oregon grape and Vanilla leaf with forest floor mulch of needles and decaying leaves.
