I also agree, Argemone. Which species is tough to determine, though. Argemone polyanthemos is one which is found in CO: http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=ARPO2
I believe you're right--http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5974002
looks like it could be prickly poppy (Genus: Argemone), but I'm not 100% sure.
