Field Notes

Description:

Large moth mostly in shades of brown and gray with abdomen having black, white, and pink bands.

Habitat:

Found it resting on the ground so I scooped it up on a container and placed it in a safe place. I was worried it might get stepped on by someone as it was well camouflaged on the dirt path.

Notes:

It was warming up its wings then flew away so I was not able to take a clear photo.
