Field Notes

Description:

I was waiting around hoping to get a shot of the tarantula that had made it's home at the base of this tree and thought it to be a fine specimen itself.

Notes:

I'm photographing trees, clearly I've been in the desert too long. =P

It was a little while back, so I don't remember. Usually I would get a shot of the leaves, but I wasn't focused on the tree this time. Speaking of trees though, what do you think of this one? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6468211 The id on that one has been keeping me up at night.
It looks like a Live Oak to me. Can you describe the leaf shape?
