Field Notes

Description:

Coastal Bottlenose Dolphin. Large marine mammal. Grey in color. About 7-8 feet long. (2-3 meters). The coastal type is typical a bit smaller than the offshore type.

Habitat:

Gulf of Mexico. Estuaries.

Notes:

Spotted several groups of 2-4 dolphins swimming together while out fishing.
