Field Notes

Description:

These chirpy songbirds are dimorphic. The male is jet black and white. The female a more washed-out black and white. Their colour is much like that of a washed out, faded old-fashioned umbrella.

Habitat:

Urban residential. Sitting on electrical wire.

Notes:

Bold and will approach quite close without hesitation. Loves to bathe. Sings sweetly but also has a harsher sound.
