Species ID Suggestions

Comments (4)

Ok since he was huge, then I'm very confident about my ID. There are only 4 species of true tree frogs in the area, and this was the best match. Glad to help :)
Thanks Ashley! That has to be it. It was a large frog, as big as a full grown leopard frog and was up in the mangrove branches. This is the only picture that really came out because it was pretty dark where he was.
95% sure it's this guy: http://www.arkive.org/hispaniolan-giant-tree-frog/osteopilus-vastus/
I assume this is the only picture you have of this guy? And can you estimate a size for me? And did he appear to be a true tree frog or more like the Pseudacris of the US that have slightly enlarged toe pads but aren't true tree frogs?
