Description:

A Purple-Throated Mountaingem hummingbird, spotted in the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Costa Rica.

Females don't have a purple throat. Males are greenish with a black tail and bright purple throat. Both sexes have a white stripe running from the back of the eye.

Habitat:

Cloud Forest (Rainforest)
