Field Notes

Description:

A great back bird with a huge yellow and white beak which is horned shaped. Very shy bird and it's spotting is very rare. A protected and endangered species. Though the pics are not that great I just wanted to share them.

Habitat:

Evergreen forests.

Notes:

Was being followed by some crows when we noticed it. Hid in between the leaves and was barely visible. Only the beak is visible clearly in the pics. Known to be a tiger of birds amongst the guides as the spotting is rare like that of tigers.

Thanks Alice, Mick and birdlady, although birdlady I feel your collection is more breathtaking than mine.
Thanks for posting Satyen. All spottings are precious I think. These pics are more than good enough to recognize the bird!
