Field Notes

Description:

A small sized Diptera from the Anthomyiidae family. It has some clear features that allow us to identify it. The clearest is the black dots over the wings. The other is the grey bands at the dorsal area of the thorax.

Habitat:

I've found this fly every year during the spring, in my town, which is 20 Km north Buenos Aires. Mostly seen near this city and some in the central area of Argentina
