Field Notes

Description:

Wavy edged, hairy basal leaves form rosette; stem leaves narrow. Blue flowers are borne in rounded heads 30-35mm across. Flowers May to September.

Habitat:

Spreading biennial of dry grassy places on acid soils, commonest near the sea. Widespread but local.
