Description:

I'd like to think this is a Strawberry Bracket fungus, Aurantiporus pulcherrimus, growing on a decomposing pine tree trunk, size about 100mm across, but I'm unsure. growing on its own, no other fungi near by

Habitat:

pine forest, Adelaide hills

Red raspberry slime

Tubifera ferruginosa

Maybe be a raspberry slime mold.... like Tubifera ferruginosa... even better than A. pulcherrimus 8-)
