Description:

This ibis was among a group at a pond near a bayou. The whole group passed by but this one paused to have its picture taken.

Habitat:

Coastal, Mid-Atlantic, Gulf, Mexican, American tropics. Spotted in the tropical south.

Notes:

The American White Ibis is protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
