Description:

Large green tree with green and pink "fruit" and yellow flowers. Not native and is invasive.

Habitat:

Common tree seen in this area. This one is near a residential area.

Notes:

Aka Peruvian Pepper, American pepper, Peruvian peppertree, escobilla, false pepper, molle del Peru, pepper tree, peppercorn tree, Californian pepper tree, pirul and Peruvian mastic

@Emma, I suppose from a distance it somewhat resembles a red iron bark eucalyptus. Of the 9 eucalyptus trees reported in the area, none have pink fruit like this. There is a giant eucalyptus next to it. I still have to post that sighting. Do you have a eucalyptus that resembles this pepper tree up there?

It really is! We can see this from our home and it is gorgeous. The birds and bugs love it and is shelter for the skunks :)
