Field Notes

Habitat:

Found around a stormwater pond with a grassy shoreline.

Notes:

This pair was resting on an arbor but many more were on the grass around the pond along with many brown ducks. This species has adapted well to the increasingly urbanized environment of Florida. Often seen feeding in lawns and grassy roadsides.
