Description:

This is a 15-17.5 cm bird, somewhat resembling a House Sparrow :)

Habitat:

I was surprised to found a group of these little guys while hiking in Tatra Mountains, Poland, 2155 m above sea level on Kościelec.

Yeah, that's what we thought as well....
this can be a altine accentor juveniel
I am glad you like it :)
First look.. I felt I am watching a Satellite view map...!!
Nicole, I think maybe this one is a juvenile. Here you can see one photographed in Spain: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6385761
Then again, here it's shown with one stripe on the wing: http://www.birdforum.net/opus/Alpine_Accentor
Thank you a lot for help, if you have any further suggestions I would be happy to update ;)
@Noe and Pili I think for the Alpine, the eye brow is wrong, no? And the Alpine would have two white stripes in the wingbar, this fellow has only one (am going by the Collins Guide right now - never seen one myself)
Yeah I checked it now, definitely looks like one :)
With the second pic I'm almost sure that is an Alpine Accentor :)
Here you have its back :)
I had my eyes on that ID to, Noe and Pili. @Hayde A bit better, but the features for a good ID are in the first shot. Do you have any editing software? If so just cruelly crop and let us see the birdie ;-)
Nicole is right, I think it could be an Alpine Accentor (Prunella collaris), but I'm not totally sure
Defo not a House sparrow. Can you post a second photo, this time crop out the bird, so we get a closer look for an ID? :-)
