Sand dunes and seashore

Notes:

These chicks can run very fast, but then they suddenly freeze in a hollow in the sand. It is possible to pick them up and they still pretend not to be there or play totally dead! The parents will often feign injury a little way away to try to draw your attention away from the chicks. I will post more photos of this behaviour later.
