Description:

11- 12mm, black with red spot on top of head and red band across prothorax.

Habitat:

meadows and fields

Notes:

I spotted this along a trail from the upper parking lot at Fireman's park. They are mating.

I never noticed the heart sign, you're right! Yes, its on milkweed - Asclepias.

Their background look alike Fruit of Calotropis sp. like milkweed plant... if I am not wrong..!!
