Description:

Need help with identifying this plant that used to be part of the wool weaving industry (before mechanisation) to untangle the fibres.

Habitat:

Road side and in old property lands and in this case Adams lakeside.

In the country areas where we live near the Ohio river- where an old farm or cottage has stood in the past these plants still grow where previous peoples have used them.
What a beautiful place! They used this plant to untangle fibers? wow!
