Species ID Suggestions

Thanks for the ID and the info, Forest Dragon! Really appreciate all of your help. I get a bit overwhelmed trying to find the right id. Thanks!!
Wonderful Meadow Katydid! This one is a female, you can tell because she has an ovipositor (the sword-like appendage at the end of her abdomen). Grasshoppers do not have these. Another way you can distinguish her from a grasshopper is by looking at her antennae. Katydids (and Crickets) have long, thread-like antennae, while grasshoppers have shorter, wider antennae. This reminds me a lot of the Wingless Meadow Katydid, Odontoxiphidium apterum: http://bugguide.net/node/view/96217 See what you think!
Thanks. I'm hoping to be able to take more time finding the different species for my spottings this weekend.
