Not sure about "lacecap". There's too many white flowers around the outside edge.
On second thought, it may be Hydrangea serrata, "Mountian Hydrangea"
I thought so, too. The entire plant is very much like Hydrangea with the exception of the flowers.
the leaves resembles hygrandea but I am not sure
