Description:

Extremely common amphibian. Adults grow up to 8 (males) and 13 cm in length. This little one is a juvenile, around 2 cm in length. Common toads are brown and mottled. The skin has a warty appearance. Toads will inflate their abdomen and chins and stretch their legs to appear larger if threatened. The skin will also secrete a mild toxin if touched.

Habitat:

Moist habitats, woodland, ponds and marshes.
