Description:

Smallest of waterfowl, Cotton teal is about 25cm. long. Predominantly white with metallic blue-green wing feathers on male. Mainly a vegetarian even though sometimes take small crustaceans.

Habitat:

Inundated paddy fields, ponds and backwaters.
