the gills on this look too thin and wide to be chanterelles it seems--it could be one of the "false chanterelles'
6-8cm fits the bill. I will look that up, thanks!
What is the szize of the mushroom. If it is about 6-8 cm it could be a "chanterelle" (Cantharellus cibarius) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanterelle
