Description:

This small mushroom has cocoa-colored gills with a dark dusting of spores. The stipe is much taller than the cap circumference.

Habitat:

Plucked from the grass next to the Skagit River in North Cascades National Park.

Notes:

Also called haymaker or brown hay mushroom.
