Description:

Juvenile bulbous abdomen spider

Habitat:

Originally on a Eucalyptus leaf with no real shape to the web. It moved to a different plant when it noticed me :)

Cindy, I could be wrong on the ID. I use this Orange County web site for my spider ID's. I was looking and nothing "jumped off the page" until I got to the cobweb spiders and the pattern fit. Nice photos of your spotting. http://nathistoc.bio.uci.edu/spiders/index.htm
This little spider was hard to photograph! It's the only bulbous abdomen spider I've seen on our property. I'm hoping to ID it with everyone's help. Thank you in advance.
