As much as it worries me when I see them hanging out by the bluebird boxes I love to hear their call - it sounds just like water dripping!
Proves the old adage " Looks are deceiving"
As nice as they look, they are pretty sour birds.
@ liam, I thought that for all the atrocities the cow bird is known for ,this bird is too dainty and tiny. i visualized a bully kind of bird like a Blue Jay or crow.
It's a female Brown-headed Cowbird.
