Field Notes

Description:

White-nosed Coatis look a bit like a badger, are the size of an average house cat (around 4 - 6 kg), and have a long tail which is striped. Their snouts are white and black, however their fur can be brown with light red and gray, or entirely dark brown.

Habitat:

This example was sighted in an urbanized area in Mexico's Quintana Roo hunting for left over foods. The animal seemed overall unimpressed by humans and simply ignored them.
