Description:
Common Woodshrike predating on a Praying Mantis.
We came across this struggle for survival in Gir National Park which is known for being the last abode of Asiatic Lions in the world. Mantis gave a really tough fight and was able to stand ground for around 20 minutes, but eventually ended up being a part of the food chain.
Habitat:
Dry deciduous forest of Gir National Park.
