Yes...its Salamander... Agree to you both....Latimeria and Scott... Eyes are typically Salamander... This is interesting to see cut of its tail..!!
This little guy had his tail chewed on at some point.

It looks much more like a salamander to me, especially the skin, which looks slimy like an amphibian. The head isn't as pointed as a skink's, and the eyes are different as well.

It's some species of salamander, an amphibian. It looks like it's lost a part of its tail.
