Gray wolf

The gray wolf is the largest wild member of the Canidae (dog) family. Almost hunted to extinction, largely due to human ignorance, the gray wolf populations are now recovering to areas they once were common. Wolfs live in groups called packs, with complex social dynamics. They are intelligent animals and can track and hunt their prey for days. I have mixed feelings about seeing these magnificent animals in captivity.
