The species you have listed is not found in that area (we have that species in Tasmania), instead I think you've spotted the eastern blue-tongued skink (Tiliqua scincoides scincoides). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Blue-tongued_Skink. And a very pretty one at that.
