Habitat:

Spotted on a seed pod of the peacock flower (Caesalpinia pulcherrima) in a large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed remnant patch of forest.

Southern green Shieldbug is what I think. They often have that black area at the bottom back.
