Field Notes

Description:

large, hairy

Habitat:

urban garden

Notes:

I spotted this on a butterfly bush outside of the Butterfly Conservatory. They have planted shrubs to attract butterflies outside the Conservatory. I went there in hopes of photographing some butterflies but this proved unsuccessful. I saw a monarch, that was too deep inside a bush to photograph and I saw a swallowtail that never seemed to land anywhere longer than 2 seconds.
