The violet carpenter bee, is the common European species of carpenter bee, and one of the largest bees in Europe.

Found dead in 'La Concepcion' Historical-Botanical Gardens

This animal flies like a jumbo but it´s inofensive like a sheep!!!

Thanks for your comments! I've always have fear of this animals, so I could never get close to them, but when I found this guy unfortunately dead... Its wings are so beautiful!

Wow, that's so amazing... those wings are beautiful. A shame it was dead, but it looks like it was in good condition so at least we at Project Noah could get a glimpse at such a lovely insect!
