Field Notes

Description:

Six legs, long antennae, partially translucent, mostly green with some light brown gradient color. Reminded me of a shrimp.

Habitat:

Flew into 3rd story apartment and landed on laptop - Hendersonville is naturally a very forested area in undeveloped areas.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

It looks like a true bug, Order Hemiptera. Judging from its long legs and narrow body, I'm inclined to guess it's an assassin bug, family Reduviidae. Do you have any other pictures of it?
