Field Notes

Description:

This mushroom started the size of the two little ones and blew up overnight. I put a Rubix Cube in the picture for size comparisons. The size got so big it appears to have split. This spot is a popular spot for mushrooms of various colors and sizes and shapes. It is right outside my front door in a little low spot in the yard that collects rain from 3 different places and then the rain drains off much slower than the rest of the yard.

Michelle, I was going to use a US & Metric ruler, but it wouldn't show up on the picture well enough...and I was hunting the house for a "universal" size reference since Project Noah is an international project. Rubix Cubes have been around long enough, and are now being sold again in bookstores and showing up in movies a lot more...so I figured they were common enough to serve as an international size reference. :-)
I love that you used a Rubix cube for size reference!
