Field Notes

Description:

About 1.5 in long. Light browns body and opaque light green wings. Found deceased on front door step , maybe after lawn guy mowed

Habitat:

Vacant house, rural Cataula ga

It doesn't look like a Cicada to me. I think maybe some kind of Katydid or grasshopper of some kind. As suggested above I think this is a Common True Katydid. I'm not sure, but although they are normally vibrant green, some are darker, and also, I think death causes them to brown.
