No worries, and yes they are similar to what we have in the US that is a different species, but things can get a bit more complicated when you cross the border! You can check out the link I included with my suggestion, it's quite helpful!
Leanne, it would be a good idea to check range maps before making an Id suggestion. Red-bellied woodpeckers are not found south of Texas, so they are nowhere close to Honduras.
This is a golden-fronted woodpecker, they have a different subspecies than we have in the US and it looks similar to the red-bellied.
