tallish shrub/tree with mimosa-like leaves and pea-like red-orange flowers

Habitat:

spotted on roadside in farm/ranchland

This spotting was made in the first week of August when the trees were blooming. I've added a photo of the "rattle boxes", seed pods taken today, October 30.
