Field Notes

Description:

The Brocket deer, as is known. The overall color is gray-brown, darker in the middle of the back and belly lighter, close to white. The tail is white on the underside. The forehead has a tuft of dark hair and horns, which only exist in the male antlers are simple and straight, unbranched, reaching up to 12 cm long. Most indivíuos has a white paint over the eyes which is absent in other species. Behind the eyes and garrões has scent glands characteristic.
