Description:

White-fronted Bee-eaters nest in colonies averaging 200 individuals

Habitat:

White-fronted Bee-eaters are found in the vast savannah regions of sub-equatorial Africa. The habitat commonly consists of open country, often near gullies, because this is the region that their food (bees) lives.

Thanks! I saw these birds during an ecotraining course in South Africa. There are so many amazing birds in this part of the world, but these were among my very favorite. Such beautiful colors!
we have the small green variety in india Noe and Pili amazing to watch them catch honey bees in mid air and smash their stingers on a branch am soon going to upload a video of the same
