Field Notes

Description:

Tall green stalk with inflorescence on the top that resembles bananas with flowers at the end. These flowers are dead and dry. Someone has trimmed this plant on the top.

Habitat:

Dry area in full sun along road

Notes:

Photo taken by one of my teen nature enthusiasts :)
Aka Maguey or American aloe (although it is in a different family from the Aloe)
