Description:

3" body tan to brown with white square pattern on body
wings translucent <br>
Wings hold a "spider web" pattern at base of second pair

Habitat:

fields and medows

Notes:

Need some help with this one. Very common type here in california it seems. 2nd picture is blown out but shows what im calling a spider web type of pattern. <br>

I could be wrong on my ID, but I think the basal spots at the bottom of the wings helped with the ID. Great photo.
