Description:

Red-orange with darker spots, 3-4" long head to tail

Notes:

Found swimming in the pool, must have fell in while walking along the ground.

Neat find! These guys come out in the hundreds during the spring when it is nice and wet for them. Unfortunately, in some areas a lot of them don't make the road crossings.
It's an Awesome find by the way, It appears to be a younger newt because it still has the reddish color, as they get older it will turn an olive brown color. I haven't been able to find any other than at the store :)
