Field Notes

Description:

The Anna's hummingbird is found up the West Coast as far North as British Columbia and Southern Alaska, where it is known to winter. The male has a red throat and head.

Habitat:

Love eucalyptus and has followed plantings all the way up the coast to Canada

Notes:

Picture was taken through a window while testing my new camera. There was snow on the ground, which though rare, doesn't seem to faze these guys. I have seen them at the feeder in weather as cold as 11 degrees farenheit
