Also known as Ringneck Dove and Turtle Dove. We had one as a wonderful loving pet for over 35 years. She was gentle and easy-going. According to the Christmas song, there were 2 of these in the pear tree with one partridge along with a whole bunch of other crazy stuff.
Wow that's so cool! There are loads of these where I live, but I have yet to get a decent photo because they're so shy... Wish they were as bold as yours!

Thanks Laura! I was very close, it was right next to me. I have a small camera with not much of a zoom capability :)
This is actually a collared dove! They're native to Europe, we have loads of them over here in England, but they were introduced to America a while back. The turtle dove doesn't have the dark tips on the wings ;) Awesome shots, how did you get so close?! Or did you use a zoom?
